LIST OF SERVICES & PROGRAMS
HOUSING
Development of Housing Communities.
Housing includes room and board, three hot meals, a stable environment and transportation will be provided to those Veterans who need to be transported to search for jobs or have medical appointment in Will County, Belvidere, Winnebago and Aurora, Illinois, the Chicagoland area, and the Northwest Indiana area.
HOUSING STABLIZATION
Housing Stablization - Room and board, a stable environment and transportation will be provided to those Veterans who qualify for permanent housing status, as funding permits. The Bernard Coffey Veterans Foundation will provide temporary housing opportunities for eligible transitioning veterans who wish to reside in the Northwest Indiana area. The Bernard Coffey Veterans Foundation also has select housing available in Illinois.
CLINICAL ESSENTIAL SUPPORT
We provide clinical essential support services for male and female homeless veterans and military with PTSD, TBI and dual diagnosis as well as provide support for their families, as funding permits.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation services provided to Veterans and Military via three SUV vehicles and a charter bus. This transportation will enable Veterans and military to attend different events, doctor appointments, hospital visits and other services as needed, as funding permits.
VOCATIONAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Vocational Skill Development for compensated work - Veterans may receive job readiness training in various areas. Some of these areas may include life skill development, construction, and computer technology, as funding permits.
ADAPTIVE SPORTS
Our program is unique in that we provide case management, groups and sports rehabilitation therapeutic services through aquaponics, horseback riding, basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, football, fishing and golfing programs. The sports rehabilitation services provide opportunities for Veterans to develop focus skills, team building, camaraderie, aide, and assist with creating healthy behavior and mobility, as funding permits.
BUSINESS CONSULTING
Our Business resources enable Veterans to establish their new businesses, some of these resources include, attorney referrals, and structure advice, as funding permits.
HORTICULTURE
Our Horticulture program is therapeutic to garden for Veterans with PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, which is known as TBI and it allows Veterans to eat what they grow to be healither, funding permits.
EMERGENCY CARE PROGRAM
Our Emergency Care Program assist our veterans, military and their families in emergency crisis. Assisting with looking for emergency shelter, transportation, and assist disaster victims as funding permits.
FOOD PROGRAM
Our Food Program provide meals to veterans, military and their families through food drives, providing healthy meals, and events, as funding permits.
